A practical workflow for CDS View Helper
Generate a basic deterministic ABAP CDS view template to review and activate in ADT.
2. Review
Review the generated classic define view, @AbapCatalog.sqlViewName annotation and first field marked key. Confirm that the proposed key represents actual uniqueness.
3. Apply
This creates a classic CDS view, not a view entity. It does not activate code or verify DDIC objects, authorizations or release compatibility.
Verification before operational use
- Use a representative case with the inputs needed to reproduce it.
- Confirm the result in the authorized target environment when runtime versions, namespaces, extensions, permissions or system configuration can change the outcome.
- Record the source, assumptions, tool settings and expected result so another reviewer can reproduce the check and distinguish verified facts from recommendations.
