JPEG compression is lossy. Stronger presets can soften photos and text inside images. Keep your original.
Only compatible RGB or grayscale JPEG resources are optimized. Other images, masks, EXIF/ICC/Adobe transforms and page content are kept. Encrypted, signed and XFA PDFs are refused. Organize or edit pages with the PDF editor.

A practical workflow for PDF Compressor
Compress compatible JPEGs in a PDF locally. Keep text, pages, links and forms, compare sizes and download the original when compression gives no reduction.
2. Review
Compare before/after bytes and image counts, then open the downloaded PDF. Check photo clarity, text inside images, links and form values.
3. Apply
Keep the original. Text-only PDFs may not shrink; without a smaller final file the tool returns the exact original. Unsupported images stay intact; signed, encrypted and XFA PDFs are refused.
