A practical workflow for Groovy Generator AI

Generate Groovy scripts for SAP CPI message processing, XML handling, headers, properties and integration transformations.

1. Prepare

Describe the CPI script behavior and names. Example: read CompanyCode, use 1000 when absent, then set CompanyCodeNormalized.

2. Review

Review the AI-generated Groovy, cleaned output and static validation findings. Check imports, message access, default handling and the exact property names.

3. Apply

Static validation does not compile or execute the script in CPI. Test both missing and populated CompanyCode values in the target runtime before transporting.

Verification before operational use

Use a representative case with the inputs needed to reproduce it.
Confirm the result in the authorized target environment when runtime versions, namespaces, extensions, permissions or system configuration can change the outcome.
Record the source, assumptions, tool settings and expected result so another reviewer can reproduce the check and distinguish verified facts from recommendations.
